Gifted List

I think that everyone is given gifts, talents, abilities, affinities for this life. And I also believe we truly are all in this together. Thank you for sharing yourself with me. It's my privilege. The end.
.Yes, and yah..I suppose I have some of those abilities too, but I'm not entirely convinced that knowing random facts about animals, nutrition, the mind of two year olds, and the functioning of the Boy Scouts is entirely applicable.
I would be entirely amiss, however, if I didn't see to the get-yourself-out-there friends that I have and link to.
In no particular order:
Andrea at strawberry-chic. My husband's cool cousin. I think she's the President of the Backstein Cousins, but I'm not sure when her term ended. It's hard to keep up with the in-laws.
Andrea knows what she is talking about regarding design and effortless-looking intensive projects. In other words, she probably doesn't have to stick her tongue out and squint in concentration all the time, like I've "been told" that I do!
Shiloh is a great personal blogger and has DayDreamBooks, capturing the endless possibilities of a blank, new page! And she sells other notions as the lighting strikes. I think she is so hip. And we both love pie. And many other edibles. So I enjoy looking at pretty photos of her charming NY City kitchen concoctions.
--We met each other through our spouses, who at the time were the Mavericks of Rexburg. (And let it be known it was they who started the couch-blowing-up event to mark semester's end. They've shot up bowling balls, too, but come to think of it, that doesn't sound very safe, either.)
Then there's Brandon the Illustrator. He and my husband are long-forever friends and all of us Woodhouse's love all of those Dorman's very much. In fact, I probably know too much about the old shenanigans, Woody simply has an excellent memory. What can I say.
There's not much to say about Brandon's offering to the world, art that frankly speaks for itself to the young and old alike. But since this is my blog, I'm putting a few of my favorite pictures on here because I couldn't choose just one (if I made a copyright no-no, let me know):
My college roomie from the ol' LaJolla 6-girl apartment days, Kara's family business cranks out the cards: DeanWorksStudios Kara is very family oriented and I see where she gets it from. This stuff is just sharp looking and fun! And she was the perfect roommate, btw.
Speaking of Roomates, Hayley was great! (...Like to the point that I'm pretty sure she had to put up with me lots.)  She even "came back" from all that logistically conflicts with being in school and married to do the flowers for my wedding. This is her personal blog Gardner's Dirt which is continuously artful and soulful about domestic life and beyond. Her Dirt is so popular, she did get to that point to either choose private or monetize.
Lucky us. I'll just put it this way, if Hayley offers something up, it's exceptional. And you can watch her  gingerbread house attempts fall over every year. She's got spot-on humor too.
Tina is another lovely LaJolla friend now making a splash on the shores of New Jersey at FloresdelSol. I just want to clap for her. Wide eyed and drooling. She is grandly creative with all things botanical. And I will never forget she got a special birthday package in the Idaho dessert long ago containing the ORIGINAL east coast Sponge Candy and SHARED it with me. A confection unlike anything a farmgirl could behold. Tina's ways are a delight, see.
Kiera has her How-to's. She was an FHE sister of Woody's, and I'm not sure we've spoken but we're friends on Facebook and I'm pretty sure we'd be friends all the same. Quiettimecreations is foundational for the touch moms want to bestow. Including me. I am cheering you onward, Kiera! I think you are wonderful and have something here. Go for it!
Vicki has told me about her cheerleaders too, and I love the story that has taken her talent here: cranberrypiedesigns. She gave me a hearty hug after I spoke in church last. And seriously, any Google search will prove that the red work style of quilting is about to get rocked! Eye pleasing and current. She's ready for take off.
I can't believe what Scott is crafting at his studio. A very good buddy of the Woodhouses, we love hearing family updates on the Streadbecks through the grapevine. Their kids are so great. I hope you have friends you look forward to like that. It is a treat for us!
Kristen, a so-on-top-of-everything hero of mine is a hobbyist food blogger: Yummyinmytummy. I salivate. Recently, she found out she has gestational diabetes, and she's taking a whole new spin on her craft. I highly respect everything she does and is, and wish her the best. I love healthy recipes all the same.
You're not going to believe this, but I have another roommate that dabbles in production. --I have the most inspiring girlfriends!-- At rosiecheeksboutique find a darling picture frame; a scrapbook page you can place next to your favorite reading spot. Super sweet. And so's Mackenzie. What's more?
All this posting gives me a real eyefull to reflect on. I have some ideas of my own rolling around up here in the factory. What has been my mantra for quite some time, is that: I have something to learn from everyone. I am grateful for all the people I know
and the worthy endeavors they pursue!
Let's hope their influence will sprinkle down on me.
