Hear that? Twittering birds?...Me too.
Altruistic. Platonic. Romantic.
Valentine's Day is pretty incredible. Even and especially that one time in college where I simply "opted out," no get-togethers, no calls, thought great thoughts as I walked in the rain, made myself a lovely dinner, and truly enjoyed myself.
--Though it's fun, it's not the kitsch. Not the infatuation. They can't really say it, nor satisfy.
It's what you actually say and what you actually do. Sharing the hard-to-get chocolates, ...you happily "Carte du Jour" everything else in your life. ...Helping someone put on their shoes ...And not shaving the wonderfully montane face that charms your wife head-over-heels, for example.
But just celebrating relationships of all kinds. It's a real opportunity!
Loving means you're not afraid. Loving means that you demonstrate hope.
Tell me you had a nice holiday.
And by all means, please take this message with a grain of sugar.
