There was once again, a bake sale out at work. Always for a good cause.
The man thought he would make some no-bake cookies. Yummy.
But then, people at work and home remembered that he is a natural at baking. And he makes it look easy, well, easy as pie.
Though everyone was pleased, and anticipating a treat,
he frankly got a better idea.
Chocolate cupcakes,
injected to the paper-foil-brim with Sweetened Condensed Milk,
Domed with Cool Whip Cream,
Tricked out with chocolate syrup striations,
Studded with Almond Roca pieces straight from the factory.
I think they weighed a pound each.
Each chilled to moist perfection.
I have the tendency to contemplate my life when he does this in front of me:
"Who is this guy, and how did I find him?"
Oh ya, he made me this very recipe... in a dutch oven, even. That was him throwing down the gantlet to date me almost 6.5 years ago.
And the rest is history....
"To think, all I had to do was bring home a pink box from the grocery store,
And of course, clean up the mess. Piece by piece...
And he actually gave me three of them, one frosted and two unfrosted.
Whatta guy."
Oh...them?
Don't worry, they're totally full of Cool Whip.
