It's Getting....

Cold out, yes.
Therefore, we have projects to tinker with.
Project "Unbelievably Early Frost": Vintage Erector Set (Why yes, he is in love.)

Project "Something's-in-the-Air": Vintage Piano (Yep I still remember much of the basics... I'm not gonna pass up a free piano, sight unseen!)

Project "I Just Found My Warm Socks to Photoshop In": (I've never taken a computer class in my life.)

Project "Autumn's Best Backdrop for Warm Smiles": (Too much? Well Katie is just the sweetest! Can't help it.)

Project "Shhh Even {Walmart} has Quality, Superbly Cheap Produce en Bountie": (And I can't but help snacking up--I mean--snatching up Black plums.I'm sure you feel the same.)

Busy, busy, busy, in all my favorite kinds of ways. (And the prediction is that it is only going to get busier.)

Ok, this is the last bouquet of the season. I promise...

Just Finishing Up

I'm just finishing up around here; it's getting exceptionally darker and colder.

The flowers are kaput.

The kitties are winterized.

And we've venerated the raincoats.

The face-painting practiced (flower fairies).

Pumpkins and friends of pumpkins have taken up residence.

The last of the squashes, beets and kohlrabi soup-consumed,
the green tomatoes oldfangled and jammed.

The Ravens have loomed, Leaves have confettied, and we just languish in our Cozy.

My People

Ever get the feeling that people are just great?

People newer than I am are pretty inspiring, fun, and "cozy."

People who are more seasoned than I am are incredibly needed, so easy to love.

People are special.

(Though I admit I might almost explicate if someone cuts me off the road; I'm a people too.)

Compelling

Are we not all compelled this time of year?
All that's done is in fun. Well, it feels like a luxury really,

a feast plated-up on necessity, at our house. Like a little Norwegian feline chalet. Free materials. And I don't know how he does it. As the weather dips, the kittens need to take up more permanent residence. Fun right?

Over here, are some of the bouquets I have made thus far with my neighbor's flowers. (With their insistence, of course.)

Thrown together for church, school teachers, friends, mi boudoir, dining table, lady's luncheon and broadcast, you get the idea. It is for the taking, so I simply must.

Don't get me started on the food so fun.

I found this autumnal-tastic Snickerdoodle recipe with Cream Cheese and it is worth every one of its cinnamon sugary granules. (I like this page because it has pictures.) And most everything else is made  exclusively in cast iron or enamel dutch oven. It's just part of my thinking process, "Will that fit in this size skillet or that size skillet?"
You get the idea.
Go enjoy being compelled. Change it up, it's fun.
