This Week in Pictures

...You know, as in award winning journalism, "This Week in Pictures."
So let's see what we've got here:

"Unafraid of how deep and entrapping, a young girl dives for wiffle balls. These natural anomalies fit nicely on the youth's fingers and is worn as jewelry, a sign of prowess."
"An impressive robotics display was presented to no end by this protégé; aged 4.2." Riveting.
Super Big News: "This patient will be calling it quits with her cast next Tuesday."
"Tribal rituals of the Chocochicas include losing morsels in their clothing to mar the skin. This triste is often alarming to others, for obvious reasons."
"-I don't know what this is."
"Work in bean commodities prove invaluable for sanity. Beans, Beans, Beans!"
Until next week, for another slice from the domestic wildes,
Hugs and Best Wishes from Team Woodhouse.

Two Chicks

Two very bored little chicks.
This is an exposé on what bored little chicks do when there is a break in the clouds and not quite so chilly. (And mom has to accumulate pictures over a few days so she can blog. Sorry for the delay.)
Chalk:
Outta control--the hair I mean.
"Dress up" Laundry-style

"Splunking in the Storage."
Using the emergency glow sticks.
Writing Memoirs.
On face.
Wait! Quick! It's not too bad, cook dinner outside!

Op. I feel drops. Breeze. Back inside. Apparently the Chocolate will see us through.
...A luscious Spring?...

We're chomping at the bit.

That Time of Year

Well, Folks. It's that time of year when it at least seems like nothing much is going on.
Here we are, on the other side of the holidays it is still dark, cold, ....humm. Good thing I have these cute kids to look at.
Oh, And I did solve a mystery: why I couldn't move my neck for the past 4 days. I did ol' fashioned sit ups. Ya, I know. So that means that I didn't even do them correctly; at least I have all my aspirations to work on.
Am I just rambling? (I signed up as a Skye Terrier Rescue candidate.)
I can't wait for St. Patrick's Day to come and I don't drink...not Irish either. I like the snow for play, but perhaps I'm getting ready for things to be green.
"May you always be blessed
With walls for the wind,
A roof for the rain,
A warm cup of tea by the fire,
Laughter to Cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire." ---Irish Proverb

Bow and Arrow Summer

As you may know, I don't have boys of my own.
(Yet. Who knows?)
But last weekend, I watched about seventy-five of them participate in Cub Scout Day Camp.
The girls tagged along, played in the shady van,
Dee ate 7 pieces of Trident (another story) and Allie had fun feeding long blades of grass through the fence, to a bleating sheep.
It was a space theme.
I took pictures, I couldn't stay all day every day, but I swear.
There's something about bb guns, boys teaming and scheming, and a real bow and arrow to make a hot summer
a princely experience.
(I chose these photos because the subjects are not easily identifiable.)
And ya, I really did want to try my hand at all this fun!

*Pitter* *Pat*

When it has been as cold and rainy as it has, we have been consoling ourselves inside with the following:
Baking and exchanging fresh, beautiful treats with friends (rhubarb coffeecake- sans coffee).
Video Chatting with long-distanced family and friends.
Baking so many treats that we are eating treats while watching others bake....
*Pitter* *Pat*
Washing our hands under a trickle of water, for like, 20 minutes.
Discovering the arts. Touching the arts? Tasting the arts? How ever you want to look at it, of course.
Exercising.  *Pitter* *Pat*
The outside "pavilion." When we HAVE to go outside and play. (Sad, huh?)
Did I mention we warm our house and bake? With as little conflict as possible.

Granted, it is the best seat in the house, right now.
(Hey, we do go out. And, at least they're not 100% watching tv.)

It is by Him

Easter is not a passport to another world; it is a quality of perception for this one. - W.P. Lemon
New Growth, not to be taken for granted.
New Loves, yet to be hugged. (Thank You, Bryn)
New Experiences, gifted to be remembered.
New Creations, bringing simple joys.
New Smiles, that have never been felt before.
New Peace, as unlike I've ever witnessed.
On Easter Day the veil between time and eternity thins to gossamer. - Douglas Horton
He lives, He lives.
